The song title alone might win for best of the year. It doesn’t hurt that the band is fronted by Alex Casnoff, formerly of Dawes, or that their lead single is stark and keyboard-driven with Alex’s raw voice dramatically breaking the hearts of whoever the song is directed towards, slowly edging towards madness the entire time. As the song builds up in the middle, you just know there’s going to be a massive ending, and Harriet doesn’t disappoint – a cacophony of passionate wailing and guitars and drums is only fitting here. Don’t act like you’re not impressed.
No word yet on a full album from Harriet, but be sure to check out their official website, Facebook, and Twitter for more word on that and upcoming tour dates. And to see if their next song title can live up to this one.
